IVI-Customersystem
Information about origin, health, growth, feed programme and other factors that are important for food safety is available to anyone at any time anywhere. In other words, each user has access to his or her own information. This is possible thanks to IVI®, Integrated Veal Information, a quality, information and knowledge management system that leaves nothing to chance. IVI® encompasses the entire production chain, from the birth of the calf to the meat at the butcher`s counter. Each link in the chain has Internet access to its own IVI®-module. For instance, IVI® gives ESA Foods customers all over the world information about the veal they have bought. All customers can access the IVI®-Customer system on the Internet and look at their own product information. Quick and easy û available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day! Customers also have the option of receiving their product details by E-mail. A traceability E-mail is automatically sent when the lorry carrying veal products leaves ESA and heads for the customer`s premises.
The transparent IVI® system was developed in-house in response to, and as a direct result of, market demand for maximum guarantees in the areas of food safety, product guarantees, product information and quality control. The system works because of full co-operation and interactive exchange of information via the Internet between all links and parties involved in the production chain. This makes it possible to have complete control of the chain. ESA Foods also has a DNA Guarantee Programme, which uses the precision of DNA technology to trace the veal back to each individual calf, with a guaranteed throughout the production chain. It is the biggest up-to-date electronic `library` on veal in the world. Moreover, it is never closed: our customers can access our website 365 days a year, 24 hours a day!
